Bangkok
Temples, tuk tuks and transsexuals. . . Welcome to Bangkok.
Phuket
It's overrun with tourists (think of Spain's Benidorm, only worse) and not that picturesque. But we did find this quiet beach in the north of the city where we spent a few days soaking up the sun...
Phi Phi Don
We celebrated Songkran - Thailand's great water festival - and Erwin got his Open Water diving certification! The diving on this island was beautiful.
Ko Samui
We relaxed on a beautiful beach for one glorious week, and did a wee bit of scuba diving.

The highlight of Northern Thailand was the Patara Elephant Farm. We spent a unique day acting as an elephant trainer: feeding, bathing and riding bareback on our very own elephant.
The farm's elephants have all been rescued from unsuitable working conditions. Its trainers care for them and bred the elephants to ensure a sustainable future.
One of Chiang Mai's best known landmarks, the Wat Phratat Doi Suthep temple was constructed in 1383 on top of a mountain. The views from here are lovely.
